HEO Early Years Setting Manager

British Forces Gibraltar, Ministry of Defence, is recruiting an HEO Early Years Setting Manager on a 15-month fixed-term appointment.

Essential requirements

• English GCSE grade A–C / 4–7 or equivalent.
• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification, e.g. EYE Early Years Educator, NVQ Level 3 or CACHE Level 3.
• Paediatric First Aid, SEND at Level 3 or above, and EVC Co-ordinator training; these may be obtained on appointment.
• At least two years of post-qualifying experience, gained within the last five years, delivering EYFS provision for children from birth to five in private, voluntary, independent or maintained provision.
• Some training may only be available in the UK. Applicants must be willing to undertake occasional required travel in the UK and internationally for meetings, training and other business needs.

Pre-joining essentials

• Relevant early years and childcare qualification, with evidence of updated training and practice.
• Working knowledge of preparing for an Ofsted early years inspection.
• Safeguarding children: statutory Level 2 and Level 3 requirements, with evidence of yearly updated training.
• Civil Service online mandatory and management-specific training.
• EPC training and card application for procurement payments, with an audit record of spend in accordance with MOD systems.
